Boone Center, Inc. Strengthens Leadership Team to Support Continued Growth
Boone Center, Inc. (BCI)—a nonprofit dedicated to creating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities—has announced two leadership promotions and three new hires as the organization continues to expand employment services throughout Missouri and Illinois.
Katie Jones has been promoted to Chief Program Officer. With more than 20 years at BCI, Jones brings deep institutional knowledge, a strong commitment to the organization’s mission, and extensive experience serving individuals with disabilities and their families. In her new role, she oversees all four of BCI’s employment programs, as well as Benefits Case Management, ensuring high-quality, coordinated services across multiple regions.
“Katie leads with both expertise and heart,” said BCI CEO Troy Compardo. “She has a deep understanding of our mission, an unwavering commitment to the people we serve, and has earned the trust and respect of colleagues, partners, and families through the relationships she builds every day. Her collaborative leadership and vision make her the ideal person to help guide BCI’s continued growth and expand opportunities for people with disabilities.”
In another strategic promotion, Kenda Curativo has been named Senior Director of Competitive Employment. Since joining BCI in 2024, she has played an instrumental role in expanding the organization’s Competitive Employment program, which helps individuals with disabilities find and maintain jobs with community employers. In this new role, Curativo will support Jones in overseeing competitive employment services across the organization.
Complementing these internal promotions, BCI also added three experienced leaders to strengthen its employment and business operations.
Jamiecea (Jamie) Williams joined the organization in June as Director of Vocational Training, leading job-specific training programs and employer partnerships that prepare individuals with disabilities for meaningful careers through hands-on learning. Williams brings more than a decade of experience in social services, with expertise spanning supported employment, early intervention, and programs for at-risk youth. Most recently, she served as Director of Supported Employment for another local nonprofit. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
Joshua Wood joined BCI in April as Director of Competitive Employment, Metro East, overseeing competitive employment programs and services in Madison, St. Clair, and Monroe counties in Illinois. He previously served as a Veteran Employment Resource Coordinator for a workforce development contractor supporting veterans’ employment services and holds degrees in Aviation Management and Business Management. Wood brings a passion for helping individuals overcome barriers and achieve greater independence through employment.
Sean Corrigan joined the organization in June as Director of Sales. He brings extensive experience in business development, most recently serving as an account manager for a custom corrugated packaging manufacturer. Corrigan holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Missouri and has completed advanced training in sales and business development. At BCI, he leads sales efforts for BCI Packaging, where business growth directly supports employment opportunities for 230 adults with disabilities. By cultivating new customer partnerships, Corrigan helps advance the organization’s mission by creating meaningful work for some of the individuals BCI serves.
“As BCI continues to grow, we’re serving more individuals through more programs than ever before—and across a much larger geographic footprint,” Compardo said. “These leadership changes strengthen our ability to provide consistent, high-quality services while supporting the employees, families, employer partners, and communities who rely on us. We’re fortunate to have leaders who have quickly embraced these opportunities, brought fresh perspectives, and are already making a significant impact.”
